Friday Faves #29

What a week this has been!! It's been very busy, and I feel like I've managed to do so much in just seven days.

Without further ado, here are a few of my faves from this week!

Birthday Drinks & Catching Up
On Saturday, I met up with a couple of my friends, James and Gus. It was James' birthday and so we went out in town for a few drinks to celebrate. The plan had originally been to go to one of the clubs, however, as there were only three of us and we hadn't seen each other in a while, we just sat and chatted for hours.

I had a really lovely night – it was great to see both of them and to catch up on all each others' news. I'm actually glad we didn't go to any clubs, because otherwise I don't know when I'll next have the opportunity to meet up with them both before we go back to uni.

Tent building
In preparation for Youth 2000 this year, we'd been able to buy a nice little tent. However, as I'd never put up a tent before, I needed a little practice before we had to build it at Youth 2000!

On Monday, my good friend and tent-buddy' Nisha came round and we had a go at making the tent. It really didn't go well at first – neither of us really knew what we were doing and the instructions couldn't have been more vague! However, nearly two and a half hours later, we had succeeded! It definitely wasn't perfect, but I'm really proud that we managed to do it and we were able to learn lots of lessons that I'm sure will help us on the day…

'Sister Date'
At the moment, I feel like I'm barely spending any time with my sisters. Yes, we live under the same roof and so are with each other all the time when we're at home, but I miss us intentionally choosing to spend time together, rather than being in the same place because we live in the same house!

On Tuesday, while Rachel was out, Ellie and I decided that we would go on a 'sister date'. After getting the bus into town, I treated us to a Subway lunch, before we caught another bus to the cinema.

We went to see Dunkirk, an absolutely fantastic film about the Dunkirk evacuations during World War Two. It was an incredibly moving film, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not going to share much more about it, as I will do a full review, so keep your eyes peeled for that coming up soon!!

And those are my highlights of this week! It was hard to pick my favourite moments when writing this post – I felt like there were too many great moments to choose from!

Hopefully next week will be the same – we're off on a short family break to Norfolk. I'm really looking forward to having some quality time together as a family, doing a bit of exploring and catching up with my great-aunts and great-uncle who live down there. It should be a great time!

Until next time,
